Park City Community Church Wedding | Elise & Russ – Part 1

Friday, April 2nd, 2010

park city community church wedding thumb Park City Community Church Wedding | Elise & Russ Part 1 Elise & Russ both work for an airline – he a pilot and she in management. In fact they met while Russ was representing the labor union…across the negotiating table from each other. I was going to say something here about politics making for strange bed-fellows but I totally restrained myself. Whew, that was close!

So where do two Phoenix-based jet-setters that get free air-fare to anywhere in the world decide to have their wedding?

Beautiful Park City, of course!

Ryan and I had the privilege of shooting this great couple a few weeks ago. Here’s part 1 – part 2 on Saturday.

Sundance Winter Wedding Album | McCall & Ryan

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

sundance_wedding_thumb.jpg Well since we’re stuck here in winter for a few more weeks we might as well celebrate it. I can’t think of a better way than to share this gorgeous album from McCall & Ryan’s December sealing the Salt Lake Temple that culminated in a stunning winter reception at Sundance Resort!

McCall had a lot of images to pare it down from: we did an engagement session, a bridal AND groomal session, the temple sealing and the reception. The only thing to do was go BIG! So here we have a 12×16 inch, 100-side beauty dolled up in McCall’s own inspired combination of gold ostrich and copper metallic leathers. As beautiful as it looks here, this album really needs to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. Its positively decadent! :D

Ultimate Utah Wedding | Horseback Groomal Session | ZumaPhoto

downtown salt lake city bridal portraits 0370crop Ultimate Utah Wedding | Horseback Groomal Session | ZumaPhoto Today is Whitnee and Nick’s big day! Their Ultimate Utah Wedding will be taking place first with a ceremony at the Salt Lake City Temple in the daytime and then their reception will be tonight at The Tower at Rice Eccles Stadium. Ryan and I will be with them all day and I am so excited to see how all of the chosen vendors will come together to create Nick and Whitnee’s dream wedding!

We did their groomal session a couple weeks ago and I have been so excited to post these shots, but I had to wait until today. We spent part of the day out at a riding stable in Bluffdale where Whitnee was able to ride the horse of her choice. It was awfully chilly but I think it was worth it. We got some shots both serene and hilarious! The rest of the time was spent downtown Salt Lake City indoors at the Rio Grande train station where the two were able to warm up and really relax with the camera. These two really are a fun, loving, photogenic, and sexy couple. Thanks N & W! You two rock!

Check back soon to see the photos from their Ultimate Utah Wedding!

thumb103 Winter Engagement | Pete and Mandy | ZumaPhoto

Here are a few favorite photos from Mandy and Pete’s winter engagement session. I must say, the morning we took these photos it was frigid, but the sunshine did provide some warmth (and really awesome shadows). We roamed downtown Salt Lake looking for cool (pun intended) spots to take photographs and found all sorts of great places including a purple wall that matches their wedding colors, yay us!

I’m glad they were willing to brave the weather, it made for great photos!
