Often times, my photographer friends and I will talk and rave about all the great places we go and the amazing people we photograph. They’ll talk of a wedding in an Italian Villa, or a castle wedding in Scotland, but I have them all beat! A few miles up Emigration Canyon is the legendary Ruth’s Diner , the location where Chris and Erika were married. As far as I know, this was the first wedding there, and likely the only wedding at the historic diner. Great location aside… the best part of my “job” (I use that word loosely since what I do is fun) is the people I meet. All the couples I photograph and I become friends, but, I truly consider Chris and Erika my new good friends.
So, with that said, head up the canyon to Ruth’s Diner for some great food and say hello to Chris and Erika, they’ll likely be there since it’s the family restaurant. And tell them Ryan sent you. And check out the amazing flowers WITH peacock feathers, no less, from the phenomenal Every Blooming Thing.

So much emotion in these Ryan! I LOVE the peacock feather bouquets that EBT did and I LOVE the shot of the cake against the shot of grumpy ol’ Ruth! Great gig!
Ryan, you have been talking about how excited you’ve been to shoot this wedding for months and months, it’s so fun to finally be able to meet this incredible couple through your photos! Incredible images…
What cool shots — Erika and Chris must be thrilled! Looks like a very creative and interesting group of peeps at that event!
I love the use of peacock feathers in her bouquet, pretty–oh yeah–the pictures are cool too! j/k I actually love all of the angles in most of these, particularly on the dance floor. The BW one of the bride and groom sitting in that diner-looking place is very chic and magazine-esque. Bravo.
Love the emotion in your pictures. You can see their love for one another!
Fabulous job Ryan! What a great fun couple and fun overall wedding! It seems like non-stop energy, from the sweet ceremony shot with the mothers holding hands across the aisle to the dancing couple with the guy-friends howling around them! Well done my friend!
